Enact a law to restrict presidential primaries to only be held with less than 26 weeks to the general election.

Created by J.G. on November 18, 2012

The Presidential election campaigns are too long! Due to many states moving their primaries earlier and earlier to try to be first, the campaigning now starts almost two years before the election. The proposed law would prevent states from holding their primaries until 26 weeks before the general election (a Tuesday in early May) which should push the start of campaigning back into January of the election year.
