Enact laws requiring all businesses to report and pay royalties on the stored information of individual citizens.

Created by M.L. on April 01, 2012

Changes in technology have created new and sometimes staggeringly unimaginable ways for companies to make profit from the storage of information collected from individual citizens. Each company should be required to both report on the specific ways that information is being used each time it is used as well as pay royalties when that information is used to make a profit. This information should be reported directly to the specific individual to which it pertains on a monthly or quarterly basis whether the information is being used for academic, scientific, government, or entrepreneurial, business, or trade use. It should used only with express written permission. We as individuals should own the rights to our own likeness , character, information; and all derivations thereof by default
