Many groups and individuals are harassed by law enforcement for legally and lawfully "open carrying" a firearm on their side. These rights are protected under the 2nd amendment. . A few reasons used by law enforcement is that it incites panic and that it underlies with criminal activity. If more Law abiding citizens open carried less crime would happen around them. Criminals attack those who are or appear to be unarmed. By visibly being armed, many crimes can be prevented simply because criminals are looking for easy targets, not targets that are going to be able to defend themselves.
