Currently in the United States, women still earn less than their male counterparts in the workplace. Even when women possess the same degree, same amount of work experience, etc. they will earn only 75% of the salaries of men. This will only be remedied if laws are put in place to eliminate this discrimination. Just as affirmative action was put in place via legislation, gender pay discrimination will continue unless strictly enforced.
