Enact legislation to prohibit the outsourcing of Credit History to international call centers

Created by C.S. on March 18, 2013

I recently called TransUnion, and I was appalled that the credit bureau TransUnion outsources to call centers in India.

I believe for financial and national security, our credit bureaus should not be allowed to outsource our financial information to international companies.

Credit bureaus collect and aggregate personal information, financial data, and alternative data on individuals from a variety of sources called data furnishers with which the bureaus have a relationship. And with the ever increasing political & social instability in that region as a whole, I feel it is bad idea for our credit bureaus to continue their international call centers.

And in doing so, our credit bureaus: TransUnion, Equifax, & Experian could hire more employees and/or deal with call centers here in the US.
