enact legislation that prohibits companies from creating/selling products with built-in obsolesence: can't be maintained

Many companies are developing/selling products that are designed without the ability to maintain and or fix the product. Personal health products such as desk fans or humidifiers with fan blades that can not be cleaned without breaking the enclosure, single serve coffee makers that cannot be cleared of a simple clog, or products that run on batteries that can not be changed once dead, end up in our land fills. This obsolescence is built into these products to promote prematurely having to repurchase the products, instead of owners being able to conduct simple maintainence to extend the life of the product.
