“Keep Calm and Carry On" – British WWII motivational poster
In the wake of the recent security breach of their computer systems (purportedly orchestrated by North Korea) Sony Pictures pulled the theatrical release of The Interview. Theater owners, worried about their legal and financial liability, are unwilling to screen the film after further terroristic threats.
Business owners should not have to shoulder the responsibility for actions taken by terrorists. Please urge Congress to immediately draft a bi-partisan bill to protect businesses that do not cave to terroristic threats and carry on with business as usual. Strengthen the resolve of our businesses by indemnifying them against criminal and civil action in the aftermath of terror attacks.
