Enact legislation to protect consumers and W2 employees from forced indemnification

Created by D.B. on November 19, 2012

Whereas companies are incresingly using indemnification agreements in thier terms-and-conditions and end-user agreements
And whereas increasing numbers of such agreements require indemnifcation of the company by the consumer for the actions of third parties
And whereas the ECSI Electronic Signatures Act signed into law on June 30, 2000 gives online user-agreements the same force of law as signed written documents
And whereas these agreements force unlimited liability (i.e., the net worth of the indemnifed company) against end-consumers and the W2 employees of other companies using software supplied by the indemnified company
We respectfully request legislation to protect consumers and W2-employees from unreasonable indemnification including having to indemnify for actions of third parties
