enact legislation requiring companies selling product to treat disease to disclose if they also have access to a cure.

Many diseases, such as lupus, diabetes, or pulmonary hypertension may already have an existing cure. Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies that sell product to treat these diseases may possibly own the rights to medicines, technology, and/or procedures to cure these diseases. These companies might choose NOT to release this information to us, the patients, as it might adversely affect their sales of medication to treat our diseases. If they own them, they may also choose to keep the cures OFF of the market. It seems it is not illegal for these companies to do this. We seek to empower the patient through legislation which would require companies to publicly disclose whether they own technology or medication which would cure any condition for which they currently sell product.
