Create new law that decreases gun violence by enacting a lifetime prison sentence to anyone who is found guilty of a violent crime while in possession of a firearm. Immediately upon the perpetrator being sentenced, the gun used in the crime shall be destroyed. This law will be seen as much more important than any attempt to infringe on our 2nd Amendment rights as it will not only remove current guns from existence, but the jailing, for life, of those who would actually use a gun in a violent act.
