Enact legistlation to prohibit elected officials from having power to vote themselves pay raises;let voters decide only.

With the state of our economy and budget deficit, not to mention the unwillingness of the two major parties to find a way to put their bipartisan righteousness behind them to carry out the people's business, it is totally unacceptable to watch politicians continually voting themselves extravagant pay raises, as the rest of the nation has to navigate uncertainty such as "financial cliffs". We need reform, immediately, on the salaries of ALL elected officials. Not only do I believe we need to restrict elected officials from paying themselves, at will, with our tax payer dollars, we also need to reform their current pay scales. Too many Americans are being paid barely above minimum wage while these self serving politicians have a party on our hard earned dollars. It is time for a change!
