America is the only first world country without a mandatory paid maternity leave. This essentially places women in a position to miss out on employment advancement and assurance to return to the same position when returning to the workforce.
Procreation is a part of natural life, why are we punishing our citizens, namely women, for having children? We are behind on this human's rights issue. Let's change that.
