It is a historical moment that the United States is experiencing universal health care. However, despite giving coverage to more individuals, there is uncertainty on how the Affordable Care Act will affect premiums on people not living within the poverty threshold. The best alternative will be single-payer: no medical bills, all payed by the government, free for all American citizens, and cheaper medicine. Medicare already sounds like a sound policy for seniors, now let's expand it to all U.S. citizens. Almost every other industrialized country has single-payer, why not us?
