President Obama and other world leaders must act immediately to remove the corrupt and mindless tyrant that is Bashar al-Assad. His killing of swaths of his own people, including dozens of children and civilians, is a mistake that should cost him dearly.
A No-Fly Zone is needed to prevent further aerial attacks on civilians in Syria, and an even higher level of attack that would be capable of removing Assad and his government from power should also be looked at. Millions in aid should also be given directly to the people of Syria, as well as food and emergency services. If we can afford to maintain Guantanamo, our huge defense budget and a war in Afghanistan, we can afford to help the people of Syria, all the while giving ourselves credit and good faith among the rebels.
