I request that you impose no new regulations on gun ownership, ammunition purchases or the ability to purchase gun parts (i.e. magazines). Feelings may run high after a tragedy, but that is no reason to take action against the law abiding. Gun ownership is part of our heritage and a Constitutional right. The framers of the Constitution made no provision for a firearm to be of limited effectiveness or be made for only the purpose of hunting. The sheer number of gun owners in this country preclude that the actions of the disturbed few are some sort of "national crisis." We may mourn a tragedy without punishing those who were not involved.
Studies by the CDC and others have shown that gun control has little effect on violence and tends to only limit the law abiding.
