enact a pay freeze or pay cut on congress until our national debt is paid down.

Why should the president have the executive power to allow one of the most unproductive congressional bodies to receive a pay raise? Why can we not vote on this issue? Why should our taxes go to pay people who do not have the best interest of the country in mind? Why should they get a pay raise when they can not come together on one single issue? No average American citizen gets a pay raise for being lazy or unproductive, so why should our congress? They all, including the president should take a pay cut for the next 8 years to pay off our national debt. It is an embarrassment to our country to be so worried about our national debt, yet give a pay raise to those who have done nothing to recognize the problem and fix it. Its time to do the hard thing, the right thing.
