Why is it that adults can go to the store anytime they want and buy alcohol and cigarettes, but people are arrested every 42 seconds for a harmless plant that can be grown naturally with out any man made chemicals added to it? Well the answer to that question is because marijuana is harder for the government to tax and regulate simply because it is a weed that can be grown naturally by anyone. The health risks due to alcohol and cancer sticks have a greater impact on Americans than any other drug in the United States. Nobody has ever overdosed or became violently dangerous when smoking marijuana. So i think it is time for the people of Texas to stand up for what we know is good for our state, and legalize this harmless plant for recreational use. Legalize, educate, regulate, medicate.
