We the people of the United States deserve Political Transparency. Congress should act immediately to require public disclosure of tax returns by the President-elect and all the presidential candidates. Revealing tax returns signals respect for the voters and their right to review the conduct and personal interests of those elected to the world’s most powerful office. A president must be a leading example.
How can we be asked to pay taxes if our president was accused of Tax evasion and he said "that makes me smart"? How federal agencies are going to demand that we fulfill our citizen duties if we don't know whether our president is fulfilling them too? How will they make us to pay taxes if we don't know if our president is violating federal regulations? We the people deserve to know.
