In the continued school violence, we must take a stand. It is reasonable to deduce that response time can be virtually eliminated when armed security is present. Another reasonable deduction is that the knowledge alone of a formidable security presence is effective prevention.
Let us imagine a world without guns. Even here, many other weapons and methods of assault can be directed at schools and their occupants. It is also a reasonable expectation that visible weapon-carrying can cause great discord and stress for those exposed.
We propose the use of an armed security presence in all schools. This presence shall conceal all outward signs of weapon possession or security equipment unless so justifiably provoked. In this case, a clear mark of identification should be brandished.
