Ron Paul's bill, HR1098, Free Competition In Currency Act, would remove capital gains tax from the buying and selling of gold &silver coins, and allow for the creation of independent currencies to compete with the rapidly sinking US dollar. It would also prevent the government from imprisoning brave people like Bernard Von Nothaus, who may spend several years in a federal jail for creating gold & silver Liberty dollars. Personally, I think Mr.Von Nothaus merely exercised his Constitutional rights, and ought to immediately have all charges against him dropped, and all the gold and silver that was stolen from him by the government returned to him
