I ask that President Obama enact a firearm safety law that would require safer storage nationwide. I suggest that, when not on the owner's person, all guns be stored with trigger locks, that all guns be stored unloaded, and that all ammunition be stored in a lock box. As enforcement I suggest that owners be liable of criminal responsibility in the event that an improperly stored firearm is stolen and used to commit a crime.
