Enact strict regulations for healthcare providers on fees and charges. "Why are the fees and charges so high?"

Created by P.L. on February 25, 2013

The American public, for far too long, has been shouldering the burden of an ever-increasing medical bill. Mandating everyone to have insurance is one part of the equation; the other part of the equation is asking the question "why are hospital fees and charges so high anyway?"

State-of-the-art healthcare services in other countries around the world do not cost nearly as much as they do here in the US. A simple X-ray should never cost hundreds of dollars; the healthcare providers are taking advantage of weak regulations and patients in ill-health.

A recent article in Time (http://healthland.time.com/2013/02/20/bitter-pill-why-medical-bills-are-...) describes how the situation ultimately worsens American competitiveness. Complete the healthcare agenda and break down the cartel!
