No automatic or semi automatic guns shoul be in the hands of ordinary citizens. There are too many gun deaths each year - some accidental. Even if an extensive background check has been done, and the person buying the gun has been found qualified, the gun can still fall into the wrong hands, as it happened a few days ago. I personally don't understand why anyone needs a gun, unless it is for skeet shooting or hunting. We do not have a standing militia.
