ENACT STRICTER LAWS AGAINST AIR POLLUTANTS

Created by I.N. on May 03, 2013

The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the highest it has ever been. In fact it is higher than any natural concentration of carbon dioxide in the last 800,000 years. There have been studies that show a direct link between carbon dioxide and global warming. There need to be changes in our policies on air pollution as a nation. The California Air Resources Board passed a bill on August 31, 2006, which has shown great progress in reducing the amount of air pollution released in the state of California. There are 16 other states, which have already adopted legislation based on this bill. We as a nation need to enforce similar legislation to that of the bill passed in California if we wish to stop global warming.
