For too long police officers have been shown to viciously beat and attack citizens of the public for no reason, if not to exercise their right as 'officers of the law'. They're protected very much by our own government, and have gotten out of courtroom situations with all but a 'slap on the wrists', despite the severity of the crimes they've committed. The definition of a public servant is one who works to serve and help the public, not control and attack their freedoms. This is not a police state yet, and I refuse to live in one.
