Enact term limits upon congress to ensure that members of congress are more concerned with representing their constituents, rather than being re-elected.
Too long have all members of government engaged in the greatest bi-partisan compromise of all, staying in office. Catering to lobbyist and idealist, congress is most well-known for accepting gifts, deals, “get out of jail free” cards and playing the media for agendas.
Let term limits clear the air over in-term campaigns, allow members of congress to do their jobs knowing they have only a short time in office. Their concentration and sense of urgency will be paramount in the important amount of time they have left.
Remove the politics from political science; restore true lawmakers to the post of congress.
