The President only gets two terms in office. Senators and representatives can return time and time again, making a career of politics and gaining more power than the president simply because of this long term career. They also completely lose touch with the realities of their constituents, caring more about being re-elected than doing what's right for the country. Term limits would force these people from both sides of the aisle to work together to solve problems and then go home.
