Our forefathers never intended our government to be run by "professional" politicians. Therefore we enact that no person will serve more than twelve total years in elected office at the federal level.
Additionally, we enact that no person will serve more than three consecutive terms in the House of Representatives or more than two consecutive terms in the senate.
Any person elected President will be granted an exemption to the ten-year rule allowing them to serve no more than two four-year terms in that position.
