Currently there are no term limits for the members of congress.
The current senate term length should be reduced from six to four years, and members of the senate should be limited to serving a maximum of two terms in their lifetime.
Representatives serving in the House of Representative should be limited to a maximum of four two year terms in their lifetime.
No individual should have policymaking power in this country for more than 8 years.
Ideas and circumstances change over night. However people, generally, are set in their ways and do not change their ways of thinking.
Enacting term limits for the members of congress would limit congressional corruption and promote new ideas and ways of thinking entering into policymaking when they may not have otherwise been considered.
