The purpose of the Government is to represent all the people in this country not so that a select few can make money off of being a current or former Elected official. Having term limits on Congress members forces more decisive action due to a set amount of time in office to accomplish an agenda. Making it Illegal to profit from time spent in office, from book signings and other payed public appearances, weeds out individuals who may have more selfish reasons to run for office, instead of the Interests of those whom he\she may represent.
