The National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey released in 2011, found that 53% of the violence, was against men (around 5,365,000 male victims in a 12-month time span.) (Black, M.C. et al., 2011)
- A man is abused every 15 seconds by his female partner
- 24% of male victims are killed every year by their female abusers
- Most female abusers say their main reason for the abuse is the fact that they know he won't hit back
- The justice system tends to automatically assume the woman as the victim.
- Crisis Lines often turn away men, saying they are only for woman, or label men as aggressors.
