to encourage the 50 States to add Philosophy courses to the public school system's basic curriculum

Created by H.M. on April 13, 2013

Advantages of Teaching Philosophy in Public School:
1) Better Reasoning Skills
2) Historical Knowledge
3) Broader Perspective
4) Earlier start for STEM careers

By starting students off on philosophy at a younger age, they will gain an appreciation for the bigger question in life and will learn not to expect an easy answer to those questions. We utilize Philosophy in every area of STEM yet it is not formally taught until college or in some cases private schools. By having logic, ethics, and other philosophical courses taught in public school, we are better preparing our children to make intelligent choices.
