The use of Electroshock weapons by law enforcement as a means of disabling suspects preemptively is concerning. Often, departments authorize the use of devices like the TASER before any physical resistance has been encountered. This unrestrained policy has unfortunately led to some misguided Officers to substitute language with threats of or actual use of an ECD on suspects.
