he southwest United States is in the middle of an alarming drought with groundwater aquifers and reserves being depleted at an unsustainable rates and all across social media networks, people are dumping ice buckets on their heads. Entire agricultural industries are in danger due to diminishing water inventories, yet here we are pouring water on our heads, when what we are really doing is putting our heads in the sand. Please make a statement acknowledging the power of social media and this cause, while at same time encouraging Americans to now engage in water conservation efforts.
