Encourage and empower the SEC and state AGs to fully address misconduct that led to or arose from the financial crisis.

Created by R.M. on December 13, 2011

The foreclosure crisis is a critical component of our current economic problems, and we believe the Obama Administration should withdraw its support for any multi-state mortgage fraud settlement deal that would protect bankers from criminal prosecution and let financial firms settle for pennies on the dollar. We call on the administration to support Attorneys General Schneiderman, Biden, Conway, Coakley, Harris, and Masto in their attempts to fully enforce state laws, AND we ask President Obama to encourage and empower the SEC and DOJ to perform their statutory mandate to thoroughly investigate and pursue criminal charges in any and all warranted instances. The American people deserve a full and honest accounting of the misconduct that led to or arose from the 2008 financial crisis.
