The Bipartisan Policy Center's Debt Reduction Task Force co-chaired by Pete Domenici and Alice Rivlin has developed a plan to restore America's future by:
- Creating new jobs with a 1-year payroll tax holiday
- Balancing the primary budget within 3 years
- Stabilizing the debt within 10 years
- Creating a simple tax system that cuts rates for everyone
- Strengthening Social Security for the next 75 years
- Freezing domestic and defense discretionary spending
- Controlling health care costs
This nation needs to exercise fiscal responsibility and to implement tax reform and it needs to do so NOW!
