A Senator or Representative should never qualify for a Federal Pension as a legislator. They should never hold the title as "Longest Serving".
It seems that our legislators, over time, become more of power brokers than legislators. It seems over time that it becomes about power and privilege...instead of people and purpose.
In MA a Congressman for 37 years is running for Senate...regardless of your political affiliation, why in the world would we support someone with such a long term career? Is it because he has garnered enough 'clout' to bring some pork home?
Let bring some sense to Washington. Politicians for the people, limited to a couple terms...by real people...for all people. No more inaction by career lawyers.
