encourage a bill to be proposed which would codify into law the U.S. Flag Code.

Created by A.J. on April 24, 2015

Make U.S. Code: Title 4 - FLAG AND SEAL, SEAT OF GOVERNMENT, AND THE STATES enforceable by law. Violation of this law should be punishable with both fine and jail time, depending upon the severity of the violation.

4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flag clearly states "No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America.."

Judges have ruled in the past that denigration and disrespect for our Flag is protected under the 1st Amendment to the Constitution as freedom of expression. But it has also been ruled that in cases where ones expression can be expected to incite violence or civil unrest it is not protected.

We the People hereby petition our government to protect our Flag, the symbol or great Nation and all that it stands for. Respect those who have sacrificed all.
