We ask that the President encourage Canadian Prime Minister Harper to meet with Chief Theresa Spence and other First Nation leaders regarding the effects of the budget bill C-45 on the treaty rights of the First Nation peoples. The United States may be affected by this bill because of the environmental issues contained within. Numerous rivers and streams that are no longer protected by the Canadian Government flow into the U.S.
