While we have three independent branches of government, the majority of Americans can't name a Supreme Court Justice nor explain even basic details of the Federal Court system. This acute lack of awareness facilitates a lack of general transparency within the Judicial Branch, as well as a general disregard for members of the judiciary.
Modern society relies heavily on photos and videos as a mode of communication. However the ban on these within the Supreme Court means that more antiquated methods of detailing processes and proceedings must be used, which many people ignore.
By allowing the use of modern technology within the Court, the Justices will enable a broader national dialogue and hence strengthen citizens' confidence in the often overlooked third branch of government.
