Colorado will have a budget surplus from the sales taxes collected from recreational cannabis sales. The traffic through the 1-70 corridor serving the mountain resorts exceeds the capacity of the interstate during both the summer and winter months. I suggest the Federal Government encourage the State of Colorado to use the budget surplus to develop mass transit infrastructure to reduce congestion on the roadway.
