encourage competition in the free market by busting-up monopolies & duopolies so that smaller entities can thrive.

Created by M.G. on October 17, 2011

A free market must provide choices to the consumer to yield lower prices and more efficient companies. However many industries in America offer only little choices some markets. This leads to high prices, poor service, and substandard products. The reason is often that an expensive infrastructure is necessary to deliver the product and access to it is limited by the dominant company. Infrastructure that rarely needs to be rebuilt. Every power company should be able to sell power without building a new grid. Every cable company should be able to offer it's service over existing networks, the same is true of cellular carriers. The practice of hoarding infrastructure should be outlawed and the owner's of the infrastructure should be forced to lease to smaller entities fair rates.
