Encourage Congress to approve of H.R.1013 Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act.

Created by G.T. on February 17, 2016

A movement is occurring around the country, with an emphasis in the younger demographic at the forefront in pushing for the legalization of marijuana. Economic and health factors support this policy proposal. On the economic side, if there’s a large untapped market of recreational and medicinal users, the government can establish a tax and then lower the deficit and contribute more to research. Focusing on health, multiple studies have shown that marijuana can be a great tool in combating the dire effects of cancer. Legalizing marijuana can provide a number of benefits to the public. We petition the Obama administration to encourage Congress to approve of H.R.1013 Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act that decriminalizes marijuana possession and will allow for taxation and regulation.
