We the people believe Congress & the Supreme Court should be of the people & by the people. When politicians are more concerned about remaining electable, they are less able to make the tough decisions for the good of the country. Conversely, the Supreme Court is currently allowed to rule with no accountability to the wishes of the republic. We propose that all service should occur not as a career but as citizen legislators. Once the service is complete, the representatives should return to their communities & find new ways to serve. What's best for the country can be more readily compromised on when there is no worry for the next election cycle. A steady rotation of representatives & staff helps distribute power more evenly.
