The original intent of our founding fathers was that our representative be exactly that - representative of the people they are serving. With career politicians the norm now, we no longer have senators and representatives that are in touch with the people in their districts.
We need an amendment to the constitution that will enact term limits on both the House of Representatives and the Senate (suggest 4 on the house - for a total of 8 years and 2 for the Senate for a total of 12 years).
