The Patriot Act, marked a second major victory for terrorism. By allowing fear to so significantly change our way of life, we have conceded a victory to those who would seek to see our great nation bow to their violent acts. We have traded essential liberty for what has proven to be no security. Benjamin Franklin would say that we no longer deserve security or liberty as a result of this vulgar exchange.
It is therefore imperative, that no organization hold the keys to tyranny, no matter what promises they may make to not use them.
Denying the renewal of the notably despotic section 215 would make an excellent starting place.
