encourage Eric Holder to become the crusader for Progressivism and Civil Rights that his detractors feared he would be.

Created by D.D. on March 19, 2015

The Republican majority in the U.S. Senate currently refuses to allow a confirmation vote for Loretta Lynch, the nominee to replace Eric Holder as Attorney General. Perhaps they would allow such a vote if General Holder were to initiate aggressive legal action against various GOP pet causes, such as the voter I.D. laws enacted by many GOP-controlled state legislatures in a brazen attempt to suppress the votes of students, the elderly, and people of color. Such action by the Department of Justice would be perfectly reasonable in any case, and if it incentivizes Senator McConnell to allow the confirmation of Loretta Lynch to proceed, so much the better.
