Section 179D allows for commercial building deductions for the implementation of energy Efficiency Measures - specifically: Lighting, HVAC and Envelope improvements that exceed ASHRAE 90.1-2001. For each of these "systems" there is a $.60/ft2 deduction for the private sector and for public (governmet) buildings the deduction is "Allocated" to th "primary designer" of the system or systems.
