Encourage the federal government to nationally sanction gay marriage. Recognize it as a human rights violation and not a states issue. Stand on the right side of history and treat this the same way interracial marriage was handled over half a century ago.
Accomplish this either by attempting to push a bill through Congress or by attempting to prioritize LGBT rights as an issue when appointing Supreme Court Justices.
