Kashmir has long been in contention between India and Pakistan. A vote should be taken by the citizens of Kashmir to see if they want to be an independent nation or to be part of one of the countries that claims them. If they want independence that should be supported by the United States. The issue should be decided fairly but definitely so there would no longer be cause for conflict.
